SMYE is a conference "run by young economists for young economists" and its continuation relies on the involvement of enthusiastic ‘new generations’ of PhD students and young academics.
If you would like to set up a Local Organising Committee and organise the conference at your university or be part of the Programme Committee, which selects papers for the next conference, please get in touch with us!
Even if you have never attended SMYE yourself, you can easily be part of the Programme Committee. Having participated in a Spring Meeting in the past is, however, advisable, if you want to bring SMYE to your university. Extensive materials from earlier conferences, with tips on organising a meeting, timetables etc. will be at your disposal. We shall provide you with all the necessary support.
